Couple Number One: Wendy and Vinny

Wendy

I am a Registered Nurse working for an insurance company in the special investigations unit! I have an 11 year old son with high functioning autism, 2 rescue dogs , 2 cats, and a bunny. I love to cook, work out, discover new things or places to go. I am sarcastic and love a great sense of humor. I like people who know the proper use of your and you’re, there and their. I dislike chick flicks, the word behoove, sharks and clowns. I am pretty independent and am looking for a partner in life. Ideal first date is great conversation, not only jokes and laughter but with a good flow, and of course great food as I love to eat!

Vinny

I’m a dad and a nurse. My children mean the world to me. I love the outdoors: barbecues, bonfires, hiking, bicycling, rollerblading, stargazing, drive-in movies, and powerful thunderstorms. I speak fluent TV/movie quotes and sarcasm, Sci-Fi and superheroes, but I’ll snuggle to any good movie. I’m super funny, which is just like regular funny, but I wear a cape. Grammar matters.

My idea of a perfect first date depends on the season and state of the world. Ideally, meeting for coffee always works. It’s a quiet, intimate setting where we can both talk and there’s no limit on time. It can be a quick meet or a long conversation depending on how comfortable we are.

Couple Number Two: Salina and Buddy

Salina

I’m divorced and very new to the Syracuse area. I have grown children and am living alone for the first time ever! It’s been very exciting and challenging at the same time. I moved to Syracuse for a healthcare job which has proven to be the best career move of my life. Syracuse is now my home and I want to complete my New Year and second part of my life by finding a partner that I can share my life with. I am very independent, professional, caring, compassionate, fun and energetic woman. I am looking for a kind, professional, compassionate, attentive, affectionate, honest, fun man who enjoys traveling as much as I do!

Buddy

The ideal perfect date would be taking photos at Beaver Lake or at Green Lakes or at any Nature Center. I’m President of the Syracuse Camera Club and a member of Memorial Lodge 648 in North Syracuse. I’m not really in watching football but maybe an occasional SU Basketball or Crunch Game. I do like going to NBT Stadium watching a baseball game. During the date, I will wear my tuxedo since sometimes I go by Bond “Buddy” Bond. One of my big hobbies and part time business is that I like to convert old 8 mm film and many formats of video tape to DVD which has been very much in demand during the past 11 years. I work full time as a delivery driver delivering truck parts around the Syracuse area.

Couple Number Three: Jena and Tyler

Jena

I am a pediatric occupational therapist and I work in a school with children! I am the single mother to an almost 3 year old boy named Elijah, who I have half the time. I like working out, cooking, decorating, hiking, sushi and traveling. I dislike poor communication, being cold and naps. In a first date I am looking for laughs and a nice conversation. Dating during Covid has been extremely difficult and I’d love to be set up on a blind date with a nice guy!

Tyler

I have been a single dad for just about 2 years now and have two beautiful daughters. I haven’t really been putting myself out there much because I have been busy finishing my bachelors degree, being a father, managing my rental properties, and being a department manager at work. That has left me with little time to date, but I just completed my bachelors degree in Physics in December. I like puzzles, escape rooms, basically anything sports as far as playing, watching, or coaching sports, going out on my boat, skiing, hiking, fishing, going out to have a few drinks with friends. As much as I love to be on the go and do things sometimes there’s nothing better than a night in and watching a show or movie. Pizza is one of my passions. I can’t think of much I dislike except for heights, mushrooms, and smoking. Even though I am not a fan of heights I do want to go skydiving. My ideal first date is always something simple. I like the idea of something more laid back and simple that way you have the opportunity to have good face to face conversation. I’m huge on being able to talk to someone and really open up.

Couple Number Four: Emily and Chris

Emily

I am interested in a man, but let me tell you, the men in Syracuse and I have not had the best track record, therefore I need your help. I am interested in men preferably with no kids and not divorced. I am looking for someone that is actually willing to commit. He has to be personable, career driven, family oriented and he has to make me laugh. Can’t be a nicotine smoker or alcoholic. He must believe in women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights and basic human rights. This is my last ditch effort before my mom signs me up for eHarmony!

Chris

I am a Syracuse native. I base my life on the Wayne Gretzky quote, “You miss 100 percent of shots you don’t take”, so I’m taking a shot right now with this contest. I have a lot of great things in my life. A good job, a house, family, friends, and health. But there is one piece that I have been missing my whole life – a special woman to share it with. I am an easy going and athletic guy. In my free time, I like working out and watching sports. My favorite teams are SU Basketball and the Philadelphia Eagles. When I’m not relaxing, I enjoy making home improvements and take a lot of pride in my work. I am looking for a woman who is honest, genuine, takes care of her health, and is into fitness. Someone who isn’t afraid to tap into her inner child to go miniature golfing or to Enchanted Forest Water Safari. Ideally, I’m looking for a non-smoker. Having been brought up in a Polish Catholic household, family and faith are central to my core values. It would be great if I could find someone for whom these are also important. I have a big heart and am looking for someone to share genuine conversation with the hope of finding a connection. Amy, can you and your 93Q team be the ones to put me on the path to love? Brenda

I am a mother of two, ages four and seven and I love them to pieces. I purchased my own home all by myself when I was 25 years old. I come from a loving family and had to grow up faster than most due to both of my parents being visually impaired. I learned to care for others and be respectful to everyone. I actually really enjoy my job and am at a good place right now in life and am ready to open my heart again. I am a goofball and love to laugh. I enjoy the outdoors, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, skating, hiking, you name it. I am a photographer and an artist. I frequent live concerts, friends gatherings, camping trips, zip lining, vacations, and, an all around good time. I don’t dislike much. I tend to try everything once. I would not go hunting, or play endless video games. I like a man with a sense of humor. That doesn’t take life too seriously. Good hygiene and physically fit. Close to his family, and caring to others. Has a job, own place, and is responsible. I dislike beards, laziness, and alcoholics. Short list, but those are deal breakers.

Ryan

I am a life-long resident of Syracuse. I am currently an insurance professional by day. By night, I am an online MBA student at SUNY Oswego. I am working towards my nursing home administrator license. I have a huge passion for the elderly population and want to make sure everyone’s last days on Earth are the best that they can be. I am also a member of Toastmasters group here in Syracuse. In my free time, I love comedy shows, movies, traveling, cooking and being with my family. I am looking for someone who is really close to her family. I am also looking for someone who is a huge dog lover. Although, I do not have any pets—I am a huge lover of canines! I am looking for someone who loves to laugh and someone who can make me laugh and grin (from ear to ear). I am looking for someone who wants to travel the world with me. I would like to visit all 50 States, as well as check out the sites in Europe, Asia and perhaps an African Safari. My dislikes are those who have bad manners, someone with poor hygiene. I am allergic to cats, so someone who has cats would not be a good match. I am looking for someone who does not smoke or do any kind of recreational drugs.
